REVIEW - Sinful Colors Nail Polish

Hello my lovelies! This post has been a little delayed as I had to wait for my package from China to arrive containing my new nail wheels. Nail wheels really help for people like me with the most un-feminine hands ever created on the history of Earth! Anywho, before I go off on a tangent - here is what I've got to say about these polishes.

First of all, you may recognise this photo from my Instagram feed however this is the unedited version to give you an actual insight to the colours in pure daylight. Lets all just agree on how cute the bottles are though! Sinful Colors packaging is so good for the price of each bottle. Each bottle is priced roughly around £1.99 and you get a full 15ml of colour which is usually enough for 10 uses (using 2 coats each time). When you compare this to a brand such as OPI, priced at £7-8 per bottle, you wouldn't know any different if the polishes where exchanged into different bottles.

These polishes are available at various online store but I picked mine up from Boots which you may have seen in my previous Boots haul post. Quite a lot of the time Boots also have a 3 for 2 offer on so you can pick one of these gems up for free - what more could you ask for?

Left: Easy Going & Right: Glass Pink

The colours of these polishes are outstanding and the range they have available is endless. I really don't know what held me back from trying these before? On the left is 'Easy Going', a peachy pink which looks so lovely on (it also makes you look a little tan..) and recieved a few compliments when I wore it. The other is 'Glass Pink' a pearl shade with a tint of pink and lots of speckles of glitter. This shade is so girly and a great alternative to clear nail varnish or you just want a glittery top coat. Each polish lasts a fair time without chipping which is great! Believe it or not I actually hate painting my nails as I find it such a chore, however it looks pretty and more presentable when they are.

Sorry, this was a quick post but it's all I have time for as I am off to my Sixth Form interview soon! Eeeek! Please feel free to leave a comment about anything or any Sinful Colors you own as I would love to hear what your thoughts on them are!

Thank you for reading!

Real Techniques Brush Collection

Hello everyone, it has been a very hectic week so far and I haven't really had time to sit down! I am currently in the middle of hosting my French Exchange student here at my home. I have had to spend a lot of time helping her during her stay here in the UK and adapting her to British ways of living. Since she is currently in London along with her other classmates from France, I have a couple hours of free-time of which I have decided to spend writing a blog post and chillaxing! So, I have decided to write about my Real Techniques brushes as I love them and I have had some interest to show this from my other posts, here goes!

From Left to Right: Powder brush, blush brush, buffing brush,
contour brush, pointed foundation brush and detailer brush.

Real Techniques brushes are designed by a fellow beauty blogger called Samantha Chapman and are available in various beauty stores such as Superdrug and Boots. They vary in price depending on what brush you're buying but they are roughly £10 each.

Powder brush - I use this brush more than all of the other brushes purely because I apply my powder twice a day. From what I can remember it was about £12 and is the biggest brush of them all. I use this brush to apply MAC Skinfinish Natural and it works like a treat!

Blush brush - I have used this brush a couple of times but kind of regret buying it now as I tend to stick with creme blushes as they are so much easier and quicker to apply. However, when I have used this brush it works really well and really does what it says on the tin (except they come in boxes).

Buffing brush - Now I'm really pleased with this brush as I use it to apply my foundation in the morning. I use Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse and have done for the past couple of years. Using the buffing brush has made it so much easier and effective in the mornings. Before, I found it awkward to apply with my fingers but despite this I still used it as I really liked the finish. Now I have my hands on this brush I love it even more!

Contour brush - This brush works really well and I use it to apply my bronzer. I never used to apply bronzer because I never had a brush for it other than the crappy ones you get in bulk makeup sets. This brush really ticks all the boxes for me and is well worth it!

Pointed foundation brush - Since I apply my foundation with my buffing brush I don't really have a use for this brush unless I decide to wear a liquid foundation usually Eau De Tient from L'Oreal. If anyone has another use for this that I just haven't thought of  - please let me know!

Detailer brush - Finally we have the detailer brush. I find this brush very useful for applying concealer on any breakouts or imperfections that I may have. The brush is very soft and therefore doesn't irritate any sensitive under-the-skin spots allowing them to heal quicker and covering them efficiently.

These brushes are well worth the money and I recommend them 100%. To clean them just use Johnson's Baby Shampoo as it has no harsh chemicals in that will damage the brushes. To dry, leave them in a warm place such as near a radiator or in an airing cupboard. I DO NOT recommend using a hair-dryer as it melts the fibres and leaves them stuck together and once it's done, it's done and cannot be reversed (unless you want to buy another one, of course!) If you need to dry them quickly, use a hair-dryer on the coolest setting possible.

Thank you for reading and thank you so much to the followers I have recently gained - I am so grateful!

The Liebster Award

I recently won the 'Liebster Award' after being nominated by Paige  - thank you very much! I know you are supposed to write facts about yourself and this award, but right now I'd much prefer to just answer the questions (party pooper right here!)

1.If you had to belong to one of the districts in Hunger Games which one would it be and why?

Hmmm...preferably I'd like to avoid The Hunger Games at all costs and be in none of the twelve. But since you asked, the answer would probably be District 12 purely because in the first film it win!

2. Cookies or Brownies?

Is there such thing as a 'Coonie' because I just can't decide!

3. Favourite Harry Potter character?

Definitely Hermione Granger! So many people have said that I look like Emma Watson but I fail to see any resemblance?

4. Favourite bands/singers?

'The Lumineers', 'The XX', 'Adam Barnes', 'Bastille', and 'The Maccabees' are my all time favourites, however, I actually really like French music. My favourite French artists are 'Joyce Jonathan', 'Stromae' and 'Cœur de Pirate'.

5. Team delena or team stelena (Vampire Diaries)?

I can't really answer this because believe it or not, I have never once watched the 'Vampire Diaries'.

6.Gold or Silver?

Definitely gold - I feel it suits my skin tone and hair colour better! Don't ask why - it just does!

7.Winter birthday or Summer birthday?

Now as much as I would kill for a birthday in the summer, my birthday is actually in the winter as I am a December baby.

8.Favourite holiday?

I think it would have to be my visit to Florida in 2012. It was absolutely amazing and I would love to go back soon! However I also love my trips to Paris as I absolutely adore France.

9.Would you rather change genders every time you sneezed or have extreme facial pain every time your coughed?

Errm...firstly what possessed this question? Though I think I'd have to say have extreme facial pain everytime I cough - only because I can't remember the last time I actually ever coughed?

10.Favourite book?

Hands down 'The Great Gatsby' I could  read that book thousands of times and still experience escapism.

11. And finally your signature scent, if you have found it yet?

I love Marc Jacobs Daisy - Eau So Fresh. The floral undertones and fruity accents smell so good and I could stick with it forever!

Once again, thank you Paige for giving me this award - I could only just accept it with nearly 200 followers (which can I say is CRAZY!) Unfortunately, I won't be passing on the award just yet as I haven't really looked at other people's blogs and if I have, they have already been given the award.

Thanks for reading,

Chloe

Boots Haul - Spring 2014

Everyone loves that time of the month when you purposely cannot hold yourself from buying make-up that you don't need - eh? Well, that I have just been through and placed a cheeky order from Boots. I usually buy things in-store but what the heck, I needed to brush the dust off of my debit card (kinda). Anyway, enough with the rambling, here's what I ordered:

1. Real Techniques Silicone Liner Brush - Yep, it's another Real Techniques brush. I already have 6 of these but funnily enough - none of them are for my eyes. Since I wear gel eyeliner using a normal brush is an absolute nightmare as I end up washing it everyday. When I found this I went a little crazy; I figured it would be a lifesaver. As the end of it is silicone, my eyeliner won't dry on it and I feel it will give a more precise application as you won't get the stray bristle that wants to make a line of its own.

2. Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturising Lotion -  Now this is a definite need. I've wanted to pick this up and try it out for ages as I've heard really good things about it. I suffer from really dry skin but an oily t-zone (in other words - awkward skin) so I need something that will provide me with both benefits. Since Clinique are skin geniuses I am not going to argue with their amazingly brilliant products and I'm sure I won't be disappointed.

3. Sinful Colors in Glass Pink - This is a typical Instagram pick-me-up, every girly feed on Instagram features at least one of these and I've decided to see what all the fuss is about.  Glass Pink is a pearl shade so contains specks of sparkle amongst the most prettiest of pink colours.

4. Revlon ColourBurst Lip Butter in Pink Lemonade - I have to be honest, I am not a 'BabyLips' fan as I feel the colours are toolimited and they don't last very long without constant re-applying. However, I do like the idea of lip butters as they are very moisturising with only a pop of colour unlike lipsticks. Revlon Lip Butters have been about for awhile and the odd one has popped up on Instagram. So, I decided to pick up one and I can't wait to try it out. This one has a natural pinkish tone but not an over the top hot pink.

5. Sinful Colors in Easy-Going - Once again, I picked up another to see what all the havoc was about. This one however is a very pale pink almost white colour. I own about 2,343,569 nail varnishes but another 2 can't hurt - can it?

Here's what I bought:
